Dr. Ori Melamud joined the UC Irvine urology faculty in 2007. He is a general urologist with special interest in endoscopic, laparoscopic and robotic surgery. He also greatly enjoys operating with residents as they learn to become urologists, both here at UC Irvine and at the Long Beach VA Hospital.
While an undergraduate at UC Berkeley, Dr. Melamud received the Howard Kraft Scholarship Prize for academic achievement. He then proceeded to medical school at UC Irvine where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He was honored to receive the Sir Luke Fildes Award for outstanding urology resident at the completion of his residency at UC Irvine.
Dr. Melamud grew up near San Francisco. His favorite activity is playing with his son who was born in October 2007.
