The UCI Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP) is an NIH funded program to support students during their education leading to the combination of M.D. and Ph.D. degrees.

UCI MSTP is operated cooperatively by the College of Medicine and the UCI Office of Research and Graduate Studies. The program director is Dr. Alan L. Goldin, a faculty member in the College of Medicine, and the program coordinator is Ms. Chris Varrone. The program office is the resource for information about the medical curriculum and graduate programs, and provides assistance to applicants during the admissions process and to students throughout their medical and graduate training.
