Information about Family Medicine
and Physicians: Family medicine is the specialty that integrates the
biological, clinical, and behavioral sciences. It
includes both sexes, all ages, races, religions,
ethnicities, each organ system, and every disease.
Family physicians can care for all members of
the family because of their broad-based training. Family medicine's emphasis on preventive medicine,
comprehensive care, alternative treatments, patient
education and family systems including the entire life
cycle makes them the ideal primary care providers.
